On Aug. 17 while canvassing, someone asked how to donate — I told them I asked for their vote. I reject pay-to-play. If you want to help, donate to the Maricopa County Democratic Party or, better yet, record a short Instagram/YouTube/TikTok (it's free) about why you support me and give the money you’d have donated to a local food bank so it has immediate impact. Three of the links above are a few in our area.
Mr. Redkey is a certified teacher, husband, and father who has proudly called Arizona home for nearly four decades. As a passionate advocate for working families, he is running for U.S. House of Representatives in Arizona’s Congressional District 1 to champion Foundation Economics — putting people over profits and restoring integrity to government.
Foundation Economics is an economic approach centered on strengthening the underlying supports of a healthy society — the working class, middle class, small businesses, and essential public services — rather than prioritizing the short-term gains of the wealthiest individuals or largest corporations.
The core idea is like building a house: if the foundation is weak, the whole structure eventually fails. In economic terms, the “foundation” includes:
Living wages and fair labor protections so workers can thrive.
Accessible education and training to sustain upward mobility.
Affordable housing and healthcare to keep families secure.
Local business and community investment instead of wealth extraction by outside interests.
Under Foundation Economics, policy decisions are judged by how well they strengthen these core supports, ensuring economic growth is sustainable, broadly shared, and resilient against downturns.
I believe every woman has the absolute right to decide what happens to her own body, her health, and her future—free from political or governmental interference. Reproductive rights are not privileges; they are fundamental human rights. Without control over one’s own reproductive choices, there can be no true equality, no real personal freedom, and no dignity. The decision must always rest with the person who is pregnant, because only they live with the physical, emotional, and economic consequences. No lawmaker, no court, and no political agenda should ever take that choice away.
On July 11, 2025, in Chalmers v. East Valley Fiduciary et al., CV-23-0263-PR, the Arizona Supreme Court ruled that failing to comply with A.R.S. § 14-5109 does not automatically bar compensation under § 14-5110, leaving such matters to judicial discretion. While the Court upheld the denial of certain fees Chalmers objected to, it reversed the requirement for professionals to return fees already awarded and reinstated the first judge’s fee order.
For David Redkey, this decision underscored the urgent need to protect individuals from losing a lifetime of hard-earned assets to probate predators. High-profile cases like Britney Spears, Amanda Bynes, Wendy Williams, and Michael Oher show that no one is immune from abuse in conservatorships and guardianships. David knows this firsthand—his ongoing battles in CA-CV 24-0476 and CA-CV 25-0236 pit him against many of the same individuals and systems that exploit vulnerable people.
David is committed to bringing national attention to this issue and fighting for reforms that safeguard the rights, assets, and dignity of all Americans.
